Changing The Game 

Henri-Lloyd’s journey began with the creation of the first waterproof jackets using Bri-Nylon, a groundbreaking material in the 1960s. We were the first to introduce seam taping, a now-standard feature in waterproof garments across the globe, and pioneered the use of Velcro and non-corrosive zips in marine clothing – changing the game forever. These innovations have solidified our reputation as the benchmark for performance apparel in sailing and beyond. 

Sailing Icons 

Over the decades, Henri-Lloyd has been synonymous with adventure, exploration and achievement. From equipping Sir Francis Chichester during his historic solo circumnavigation of the globe in 1967 to outfitting Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, the first person to sail solo and nonstop around the world, our gear has played a vital role in some of sailing’s most iconic moments.

Our legacy extends to collaborations with elite teams and partnerships with globally recognised ambassadors. We’ve proudly supported the America’s Cup teams and their campaigns, including the American and British teams, as well as those in the Volvo Ocean Race, Vendee Globe and more, where our technical innovations have been put to the ultimate test in some of the harshest environments on earth. Our clothing has also been embraced beyond the seas, finding its place in the wider sporting world including F1 with the Brawn, Mercedes Petronas and Lotus teams and in the fashion world through collaborations with designers and influencers who resonate with our ethos.
