Every detail of the Dynamic range has been shaped by insight from elite sailors who understand the rigorous demands of life on the water.


Whether battling shifting conditions during offshore racing or manoeuvring in high-intensity regattas, sailors need gear that adapts seamlessly to their movements. With this in mind, we designed the collection to work in perfect harmony, offering three upper body options (Jacket, Smock and Dry Top) and two lower body options (Salopette and Short), ensuring optimal coverage and versatility across all weather conditions and crew positions. 

To push innovation even further, we looked beyond sailing, studying technical advancements in sports such as cycling and running. These disciplines emphasise lightweight, flexible fabrics that enhance performance without unnecessary bulk. This inspired us to develop the Dynamic range with cutting-edge mechanical stretch, achieved through a unique texturized yarn structure rather than elastane, making it more robust and stable while maintaining superior flexibility. 

One of the standout features is the 4-way stretch back panel, incorporated into the jackets by rotating the fabric 45 degrees to allow for greater freedom of movement. This bias orientation ensures uninhibited motion without compromising durability, allowing sailors to perform at their best in the most demanding conditions. 

At the core of the Dynamic range is Henri-Lloyd’s exclusive 3-layer Dri Pro fabric, developed in-house in collaboration with leading Japanese mills. This market-leading sustainable waterproof fabric offers superior tear resistance, exceptional stretch and industry-leading sustainability properties.  

Lightweight yet robust construction: The jacket weighs just 650gsm yet boasts 33% more strength compared to fabrics of similar weight. 

4-way stretch panels: Strategically placed for flexibility and uninhibited movement across the back, an innovation rarely seen in sailing apparel. 

Sustainability: Made from 100% recycled polyamide, featuring PFOA-free membranes and PFC-free DWR coatings. The fabric underwent 12 months of development and testing, incorporating feedback from world-class sailors to ensure it meets the highest performance standards. As the first of its kind in the marine industry, it marks a significant step forward in sailing apparel innovation.

Finding the right partner to develop this advanced fabric was no easy task. Henri-Lloyd’s stringent requirements demanded a material that was highly waterproof, breathable, lightweight for ease of movement, and offered superior stretch - all while maintaining a sustainable, PFOA-free membrane. After evaluating over 100 fabrics globally, only one Japanese mill met these exacting standards. 

Through four rounds of prototyping over 12 months, two exclusive fabrics were developed and tested to ensure optimal stretch and draping across men’s and women’s jackets, salopettes, smocks and dry tops. This rigorous process guaranteed that the final product met the demands of both inshore and offshore sailors, delivering the perfect combination of performance, durability and sustainability.  

Beyond flexibility, the Dynamic range delivers on every aspect of high-performance sailing apparel. With exceptional waterproofing (+20,000mm) and breathability (+20,000g/m²/24hr), sailors remain dry and comfortable even in the toughest environments. Superior tear resistance (+33% stronger) and sustainability credentials further reinforce its position as a collection built for endurance, ensuring long-lasting performance without compromise. 

By combining real-world insights from professional sailors with advancements from other elite sports, the Dynamic range sets a new benchmark for technical sailing wear. Two years of research, testing and refinement have resulted in a collection that supports sailors with the freedom to move, the protection to perform and the durability to withstand the elements.
